Each show is a dialogue between Selma Schimmel (founder of Vital Options International and a two-time cancer survivor) and noted medical experts. What makes CancerTalk unique is being able to simultaneously broadcast an audio stream over the Internet along with medical illustrations to enhance each discussion. Using this cutting-edge technology, we will be able to reach out to a global audience and portray a clear picture for everyone affected by cancer. High-speed Internet access is NOT required to view CancerTalk.

A pioneer in using communications technology to teach, support and advocate about cancer, Vital Options is launching the first audio-visual cancer talk show. Now, in addition to hearing information, you will be able to see a visual component to support the dialogue with leaders in medical oncology from cancer centers and universities across the United States.

Vital Options was founded in 1983 as the first organization for young adults with cancer. In the early 1990's, Vital Options launched The Group Room® cancer talk radio show for people of all ages and with all cancer types. Today, Vital Options is a global cancer communications organization and an international forum that provides a variety of cancer communications projects for patients of all ages and disease types, as well as for their families, friends and healthcare providers.
